A new build can be found in the Subforums as "v1.63.4a", which may be slightly different than the one available here.
This is only the second full update that a(n) simulation game has received, the first being the well-loved The Sims 2.2 Update, released in May 2007.
A point of interest is that it is also the first full update to The Sims 3 since it's version 1.0 in early 2007.
When I say full, I mean that it includes all new content and/or changes, except for small patches and bug-fixes.
